Bob Marley and Dunn's river

Of course we had to go visit Bob Marley's house/home/studio at Hope Road in Kingston when visiting Jamaica! Our daughter is named after Marley and our dog after his album and song Kaya...

As one maybe suspects, there is at least one reggae dork in the family. André has always loved reggae (also punk and rock of course) and if you love reggae it's kind of hard not to love the legend Bob Marley. So when André bought his dog back in 2008, Kaya seemed like a perfect name for her.

When our little daughter arrived we had already decided for the name Noa and no more but during Ida's intensive hours just before deliverance, the only thing that kept her calm and in good mood was Bob Marley playing on our lap top. So it just felt more than right to name our daughter Noa Marley

Especially Three Little birds was the song that were played all night, over and over again. Also when Noa arrived, André kept singing the song for her when Ida was getting some rest and recovering.

After visiting Kingston we had a blast at the waterfalls at Dunns river. Awesome nature and totally worth a visit! Much recommended.
